| Dear Bob, Just wanted to let you know we had such a lovely time in Stevie'scottage last month. From being city dwellers,with a view over Sheffield to the peace and tranquility of Manna lwith a view over the sea to Mull - there is no comparison. The cottage is lovely and being so close to the wildlife was amazing. We saw the otters on our first night and on a couple of other occasions. The seals were amusing - bobbing up to see if we were still there. We were even treated to a corncrake running in front of the cottage one evening. Ian managed a picture of it. Amazing! Thank you for sharing your small piece of heaven with us and others . We do appreciate how wonderful it must be for you to keep returning there.....Kathryn G | ||||

Stevie's was real treat; it was cosy and comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed. The beachside location was perfect.The location of the cottage is stunning, with the most amazing views across the bay. The beaches were beautiful; the sea is clear and turquoise.We had the experience of a lifetime, when kayaking in the bay outside the cottage, amongst the basking sharks. These incredible gentle giants took our breath away - there really are no words to describe the feeling; what a privilege for us!We cycled and walked, visited the excellent local craft studios and the pub, spent lots of time on the beach and in the sea and generally relaxed. We saw lots of other wildlife too, including seals and the secretive Corncrake !I think you can tell what a fantastic time we had. You can be certain we will return one day! | Hi Bob, thank-you for letting us hire Mackays cottage for a fortnight for our honeymoon. the cottage and location was great. We loved being able to see (and hear) the sea and enjoyed having an evening drink in the garden or a couple minutes walk to the magnificent beach. Some sheep kept us well amused most mornings by coming into the garden to eat the grass! Tiree is a wonderful island...deserted beaches, millions of flowers and birds everywhere. It is the most peaceful tranquil place we’ve ever been to and is truely a beautiful island. We’ll definitely be visiting Tiree again.. Many thanks again. | Once again we had a great stay. Had many sightings of basking sharks but the best had to be, whilst in the sea one day seeing two dark shapes in the water next to me and feeling slightly nervous only for two seal to pop up next to me for a look! (Stephen O , , Wirral) | ||||
We had a lovely time at Skerryvore chalet with perfect weather all week,the bird life all around the island was amazing as well as seeing basking sharks, not far from the chalet for the first time.
The views from the top of the hill by the radar dome are outstanding.
