| Mackays holiday cottage on the island of Tiree offers self catering accommodation in a renovated Hebridean black house. The cottage is one of three Tiree holiday cottages that are available for rent as self catering accommodation on this website. The accommodation is situated at Balephuil Tiree, is amongst beautiful and unspoilt surroundings. The cottage offers accommodation for 5 to 6 persons. For larger groups Skerryvore Chalet next door can also be rented. This 34 sq m self catering chalet offers accommodation for 2 persons although this can be increased to 4 if desired by using fold down futon couch in the living area. | |

Tiree is famous for its beaches and Balephuil Bay which has a mile long sandy beach, about five minutes walk away . |

There is some stunning rocky coastal scenery close by accessible to the fit and able. |

Living room - Mackays Cottage living room has a comfortable and rustic feel. The rendered stone walls are painted white and the pine ceiling has open rafters. There is a leather 3 piece suite, a large screen TV and dvd player . There is a mini hi-fi with CD player, radio and tape player. Heating is by storage heaters and a very efficient multi fuel stove type room heater. |

Kitchen - The kitchen is equipped with slot in oven with ceramic hob, a microwave, toaster, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen and dining area and living room are all open plan. |
Bedrooms - there are two bedrooms, one has a double bed and a single and the other has two single beds. There is is small cabin style area off the landing which contains a single bed.Linen - You will need to provide your own sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and towels. Duvets and pillows are provided.Bathroom - The bathroom is fully tiled with bath, wash hand basin and toilet. There is an instant electric shower over the bath. There is a heated towel rail.
